Default blinking text/letter

Hi, can anyone tell me Is there an easier way to make text or letters blink for a while, without using alpha-effect frame by frame?

Yes sure, First write some text and make the text box a 'Graphic' symbol for this select and press F8 . Name it something like 'Text'. Make a new 'Movie' symbol by Ctrl+F8 and name it 'Blink', or similar. In Frame 1 of 'Blink' insert an instance of 'Text'. Insert a blank keyframe (F7) on Frame 5, for instance, and add some additional frames for good measure, maybe up to Frame 8. Now return to Scene 1 and place an instance of 'Blink' on the stage. Voila, the text will appear, disappear, appear, disappear for as long as 'Blink' is present. I think now you can do it.
