Default Registrars for Domain Names

Hi,

Domain name presents, the company's presence on the Internet. On these registrars, (like Network Solutions, Internic), we can query multiple whois databases to get the wealth of information about the website. We can get the Registrar information and whois servers, related information about the particular organization, related infromation about the domain, information related to a particular network or a single IP address and also we can get the administrative contact. We can consult whois.crsnic.net which is a multiple registrar to obtain the potential information about the website.
At the UNIX command prompt:
whois "domain-name. "whois.crsnic.net
will list all the occurences of domains that begin with cpwebhosting.
whois "name domain-name.net "whois.networksolutions.com
whois domain-name@whois.networksolutions.com
When, we have registered the domain, we must check, that all the information listed in the database of registrar is accurate. Update the administrative, technical, and billing contact information as necessary. Try to provide toll-free numbers or a number that is not in your organization phone exchange.
Network solutions authenticates the domain registrant's identity through three different methods - email, password, PGP key, the default method is email. Registrant must choose password or PGP to change the information.

Yes, it is true, that the phone numbers and addresses are starting point of dial-in-attack and while updating information, email address can be forged and domain can be hijacked.
